To receive an oncology massage, you or a loved one must actively be undergoing chemotherapy or radiation for the cancer. This is not a treatment for the general public. A doctor’s note will need to be provided stating that you are under the care of an oncologist and they are in agreement with you receiving treatment for the edema you are experiencing from chemo or radiation.

Oncology massage uses lymphatic drainage to decrease or prevent swelling in legs, arms or face. If you are undergoing chemo or radiation and are not experiencing swelling, you can still take advantage of this treatment plan to prevent swelling to your extremities.

For best results, cancer patient needs to plan to come at least 3-4 times per week to help with edema
